Abstract
PEDOT:PSS doped with a cyanine dye, NK-1952 was used to fabricate J-aggregated films by ink-jets with desirable patterns on ITO substrates. Key fabrication factors including the surface modification of ITO, dye/polymer concentration, and ink-jet parameters such as nozzle size, pulse voltage and duration, and the second pulse and their influence on the absorption spectra, droplets speed and volume, spots size and thickness have been systematically investigated. High quality J-aggregated films with characteristic absorption peak at ~541 nm have been prepared, which might be applied as filters.
