Abstract
Polymer-stabilized blue phases (PSBP) have been studied intensively in recent years for the great potentials in display devices or optical modulator. In this sturdy, a relationship between visco-elastic properties of LC/polymer composite and polymerization temperature was investigated based on rheological analysis, differential scanning calorimetory (DSC) and polarizing optical microscopy. The thermal property of polymers synthesized in low molecular LC was found to be influenced by the phase state of low molecular LC in which polymerization was performed.
