Abstract
The coppice forest called "Satoyama" in Japanese of which once played an important role of producing firewood have been abandoned, and dynamically changing in floristic composition including canopy trees by succession. They still have multiple function on environmental conservation and amenity, then it is significant to survey the situation currently using the remote sensing data. This study aims to distinct among 3 broad-leaved evergreen trees in the Satoyama by spring color tone on the aerial photograph sequentially taken 4 times during April to June, in suburban Fukuoka City, Kyushu. Quercus glauca, Castanopsis cuspidata and Cinnamomum camphora were selected as the dominant evergreen trees, and analyzed each variation of color tone at the value of RGB data and HSI data converted. As the result, we could identify the different changing patterns in 3 species caused by sprouting leaf color and flowering.
