N2 - We have experienced 2 cases of Werner's syndrome with typical clinical features and metabolic disturbances. In case 1, plasma lipoprotein analysis revealed hyperlipidemia with increased triglyceride rich lipoproteins, such as chylomicron, or very low density lipoprotein. However, the low density lipoprotein was decreased. Case 2 suffered from latent diabetes with hyperinsulinism. However, insuline tolerance test and plasma levels of C-peptide were within normal limits. Metabolic disturbances in Werner's syndrome were discussed including reference to a previous survey.
