28GHz 44 one-sided directional slot array antenna for 5G application

Abstract

This paper presents a design of one-sided beam forming slot array antenna for 5G application. The antenna element is composed of top metal, dielectric substrate, middle metal, dielectric substrate, and bottom metal layer. The antenna has 44 elements. High frequency signals with various phase are fed by each elements. The simulation and measurement results of the antenna gain and beam steering characteristics are presented in this paper. The gain of proposed antenna is 17.6dBi.
