Abstract

We reported a case of 65-year-old man with systemic mucormycosis in the early post-allogenic BMT period. Respiratory condition became worse and a chest radiograph showed consolidation in the right lung 12 days after BMT. CT and MR images revealed multiple masses in the lung, liver, spleen, and cerebellum. The specimen obtained by CT-guided biopsy was histologically consistent with mucormycosis. Mucormycosis must be considered based on these radiologic findings and a rapid course in a patient after BMT, and a histological examination should be immediately performed.
