A Dynamic Characteristic of Bi-directional Dual Active Bridge Converter with Power-Feedback Control

Abstract

This paper considers a dynamic characteristic of Dual Active Bridge converter with power-feedback control which the dynamic characteristic hasn't been discussed yet. Calculation result of the obtained dynamic model show that the dynamic characteristics is affected by parameters of input/putput LC filters, and a DC operating point of an input value. Also, the converter's dynamic model is represented as a zero-order system. By properly defining the parameters of the LC filters, the effect of the filters on the loop transfer function of the feedback system can be suppressed, and the derivation of the input/output impedance can be simplified. In addition, the design guidelines of the system will be discussed based on the analysis results obtained. Simulation and experimental results confirm the validity of the analysis.
