A low-side self-capacitive sensing method for large area touch screen

    Abstract

    We have proposed a configuration of single-layered touch electrodes for capacitive touch panel and a low-side self-capacitive sensing circuit that can be adopted to large area touch screen. A 4.0-in capacitive touch panel which consists of large resistive electrodes and the driver circuit with the proposed method shows high touch sensitivity at high resistive electrodes.
