A novel isolated DC-DC converter with integrated magnetic components for EV and HEV applications

Abstract

This paper proposes a novel Interleaved Series Input Parallel Output Active Clump Forward (ISIPO-ACF) converter with integrated magnetic components that might achieve high power density. This converter is suitable for high input voltage and high output current applications such as dc-dc converters of EVs and HEVs. In this paper, the superiority of that in term of size and losses of the magnetic components is demonstrated in comparison with a single ACF converter and a conventional ISIPO-ACF converter. As a result, it is cleared that the proposed converter is effective for size-reduction and low-losses of the magnetic components under the same conditions from both theoretical and experimental viewpoints.
