Abstract

A mathematical frame to deal with the Face-to-Face Word of Mouth Communication (WOMC) and the Network WOMC was obtained, respectively. The difference between two types of WOMC is how the information can be conveyed. In the former type, information goes through the real human contact, which can be understood as on-site-communication. To the contrary, in the later, information can leap to remote places passing through the acquaintance network provided by telecommunication such as cellular phone and e-mail. For practical calculation, a program on the platform of the Multi-Agent type simulation was developed. Using this, a numerical experiment was done to reveal fundamental characteristics of both the Face-to-Face and Network WOMC.
