Abstract
AC losses in circular disks of thin YBa2Cu3O7 films were investigated in perpendicular magnetic fields. Loss measurements showed that one of the films had a higher critical-current density than the other. Magneto-optical images showed that the particular film exhibited more-uniform flux penetration around the circumference of the disk than the other.
