Aerodynamic design and its validation of an open-type engine run-up facility

Abstract

The aerodynamic characteristics of an opentype engine run-up facility (RUF) have been studied by wind tunnel experiment and computational fluid dynamics to provide a new design procedure. Then the validation test has been performed for the actual RUF constructed based on the new procedure. All the validations and commercial operations went successfully.
