Abstract
Isotactic (it) and syndiotactic (st) poly(methyl methacrylate)s (PMMAs) form double-stranded helical stereocomplexes in organic solvents. We prepared PMMA stereocomplex films by a layer-by-layer assembly method, and the films were coated with protein A. Antibodies were deposited on the films, and then the binding of antigen were analyzed. Immobilized amount of protein A and Anti-HSA on stereocomplex films were greater than those on individual spin-coated films and gold substrates. When the concentration of HSAwas 0.1 μM, HSA binding amounts on stereocomplex films coated with antibodies were ten times greater than those on spin-coated PMMA films and gold substrates.
