Abstract
The anisotropic conductance of quasi-one-dimensional electron system on the surface of liquid helium supported by a new type of substrate was measured. The substrate used is a glass plate on which stripes of flat surface and linear grooves align in parallel alternatively. It is shown that the ratio of the conductances of electrons moving along and across the channels is larger than 470 which is about 2 orders greater than that obtained so far.
