Abstract

Angiogenesis plays a critical role in metastasis/invasion as well as proliferation of tumor cells. Development of therapeutic drugs and methods by targeting tumor angiogenesis is expected to inhibit tumor growth as well as tumor metastasis/invasion. In this issue, we describe how tumor angiogenesis proceeds and is correlated with metastasis/invasion, and how tumor angiogenesis could be modulated.
