Abstract

Search by terms is often used when researchers search academic papers. However, it is difficult to collect almost all papers that satisfy information needs using search terms alone. In this paper, we propose a support method to find papers that satisfy user’s information needs with search by terms. This is achieved by searching abstracts that have been obtained with general search terms, and further analyzing them using a researcher’s own provided abstract to identify the user’s information needs.
