Abstract

(Figure Presented) Tubular balls: Self-assembly of an Au nanocluster with bionanotubes of bacteriophage T4 gene product 5 (gp5) trimers has been demonstrated (see picture). The triad of His6 fragments at the C terminus of (gp5-His6)3 contributed to the construction of an ordered tetrapod-like bionanotube assembly and the formation of Au nanoclusters with uniform size distribution.
