Abstract

This paper deals with boiling enhancement by a prepared surface and by a tube bundle arrangement, each of which is related to the bubble behavior interior or exterior of the nominal surface. It discusses the heat transfer characteristics, models and correlations proposed for porous surface geometry, and the enhancement and its mechanism for heat transfer in tube bundles.
