Abstract

Eco-driving means to change driving styles to be more economically and ecologically. However, regarding effects of the eco-driving, there are quite different opinions from different studies. Furthermore, most of the previous studies have been based on computer simulations. It is necessary to propose really effective driving styles in order to promote the eco-driving. We conducted a group of test runs on the public roads under the normal traffic conditions. This paper is to report the results of our studies and give our suggestions to promote the eco-driving.
