Abstract

Manganese complex of the optically active salen ligand [N,N'-bis[(S)-3-(1-phenylpropyl)salicylidene]-(1R,2R)-1,2-diphenylethylenediaminato] was found to be an effective catalyst for the enantioselective epoxidation of unfunctionalized olefins. The highest enantioselectivity of 50% ee was realized for (E)-1-phenyl-1-propene.
