Abstract

This chapter mainly talks about the cathode materials and their behaviors in proton-conducting solid oxide fuel cells (P-SOFCs). In the first part, basic reaction mechanisms and requirements for P-SOFCs' cathodes are discussed; in the second part, developments of cathode materials in the past decades for P-SOFCs are introduced; and in the last part, progresses of three typical cathode materials with different crystal structures for P-SOFCs are highly recommended.
