    Abstract

Deterministic diffusion of a particle with finite mass is numerically studied in oscillating and turbulent convections. For the turbulent convection, we use a coupled Ginzburg-Landau-Swift-Hohenberg equation for the soft-mode turbulence in liquid crystal. The diffusion constants are numerically calculated for convection models with free and rigid boundary conditions.
