### Abstract

Several aspects of the lattice W_{N} algebra are studied. Motivated by the fact that the Lotka-Volterra model can be written in terms of a current of the lattice Virasoro algebra (the Faddeev-Takhtajan-Volkov algebra), integrable dynamical models on the lattice have been formulated as a model associated with the lattice W_{3} algebra.
