Abstract

A 54-year-old male with diabetes was admitted to our hospital because of bilateral infiltrate associated with hypoxia. Cryptogenic organizing pneumonia was suspected from the imaging of chest computed tomography. Further examination by lung biopsy and cryptococcal antigen confirmed pulmonary cryptococcosis. We investigated 17 cases of pulmonary cryptococcosis in our hospital to demonstrate the characteristics of pulmonary cryptococcosis.
