Abstract

Careful microscopic examination reveals that pervasive and penetrative mechanical destruction fabrics are recorded in the broken limestone, a significant product created through a large collapse of the Carboniferous-Permian Akiyoshi oceanic reef complex. The mechanical destruction of the broken limestone is characterized by the nearly in situ fragmentation of primary constituents of parent limestones and the disruption of their primary fabrics. The broken limestone has been penetrated by dikelets of the destruction materials. Their obvious continuity from the destruction products of the host broken limestone positively indicates the derivation of injected materials from the host rock. -from Authors
