Comparison of breakup processes of 6He and 6Li with four-body CDCC

Abstract

We have investigated projectile breakup effects on 6Li+ 209Bi elastic scattering near the Coulomb barrier with the four-body version of the continuum-discretized coupled-channels method. In this analysis, the elastic scattering is well described by the p + n + 4He + 209Bi four-body model. Four-body dynamics of the elastic scattering is precisely investigated, and we then propose a reasonable d + 4He + 209Bi three-body model for describing the four-body scattering. This work is based on the article Phys. Rev. C 86, 031601(R) (2012).
