Abstract
Photocatalytic oxidation of benzene in air oer Pt/TiO2 photocatalysts was studied at room temperature (relative humidity 65%). The complete oxidation of benzene to CO2 was achieved when 1.0 wt % Pt/TiO2 was used as the catalyst. With the increase in the amount of Pt loaded on TiO2, the selectivity of CO2 was increased and that of CO was decreased without any change in the catalytic activity for the CO2 formation.
