Abstract

Conformational effects on the reaction course were examined in organoaluminum-promoted pinacol-type rearrangement, using stereo-defined unsymmetrical β-mesyloxy alcohols as the probe, where combinational use of DIBAL-Et2AlCl achieved highly selective migration.
