Abstract

The reaction rate of the possible main neutron-source stellar reaction, 13C(αn)16O, was investigated by the direct α transfer reaction. It was found that there would be no such large enhancement of neutron productions due to the subthreshold state at 6.356 MeV at low temperatures for the s process.
