Abstract

The purpose of this study is to enhance visitor's satisfaction by developing new interpretation contents for mobile voice translator targeted for Kyushu National Museum. We've done some basic research by questionnaire and pursuant observation of visitors in order to understand visitor's needs and their behavior and attitudes. This thesis suggests new evaluation technique regarding how to evaluate voice interpretation contents. And we also considered way of exhibition evaluation including qualitative technique which is becoming the mainstream nowadays and developed fixed-quantity exhibition evaluation technique as new and objective evaluation technique and inspected that. Infrared system which we proposed can automatically detect visitor's audience rate beside evaluate exhibits through visitor's staying time. In a test evaluating utility of the system, it proved to be reliable system in high accuracy acquired from the system, exhibition evaluation and voice interpretation contents evaluation.
