Development of management system for mine ventilation and safety information

Abstract

In order to design a safe and efficient mine ventilation system and to manage it reliably, effective and modern computer tools are required for the ventilation engineers. For answering this practical need a management system of mine ventilation and safety information was developed. This system consists of the three systems: database, analysis and chart presentations. This system is unique in that image picture is employed as base map for producing ventilation map and that this system contains a function for optimization of ventilation network. User-friendliness was much taken into account, the operation of the system is very easy: for example, the creation of ventilation system map, display and edit of data in database can be performed only by click of the mouse.
