Development of thermo-graph inspection for geomembrane seam evaluation and its application to landfill constraction

Abstract

This paper attempted to develop a thermo-graph inspection method for the evaluation of heat-welded seam of geomembrane. Then the proving tests using this inspection method were conducted at heat-welding construction works in new landfills. On the proving tests, heatwelding works and the thermo-graph inspection could be carried out in parallel, the results of inspection were displayed on the computer correctly. Those results indicated that this method can be applied practically at construction site of the geomembrane on landfills.
