N2 - The genome sequence of Streptomyces sp. strain JHA26, the culture supernatant of which exhibited β-D-galactofuranosidase (Galf-ase) activity, was analyzed to search for a Galf-ase-encoding gene. We report here the results of wholegenome shotgun sequencing and reveal the identity of a new Galf-ase gene.
