N2 - We designed and tested equipment to wash plugs following cell lysis in pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE). Our system can wash 30 plugs simultaneously in 1. h using 15. L of Tris-EDTA buffer, which makes plug washing for PFGE less labor-intensive.
