Effect of charge transfer on bandshape analysis for low-wavenumber Raman spectra of alkali metal halide aqueous solutions

Abstract

Low-wavenumber Raman scattering spectra of aqueous NaI solutions were measured with 488.0 and 514.5 nm excitation. The enhancement of the spectral intensity caused by I- ion does not depend on the excitation wavelength. We can apply the phenomenological analysis to the low-wavenumber Raman spectra of alkali metal halide aqueous solutions even when the 'pre-resonance effect' of proton transfer changes the mode intensity.
