Abstract

In this study, we report on the effect of salt and /or water additives on viscosity of ionic liquid. It was obserbed that great increase of viscosity of ionic liquid by addition of the salt and dramatic decrease of viscosity by addition of the water. These results may imply that the internal structure of ionic liquids drastically change by addition of salts and water.
