Effectiveness of the A-φ method for 3-D eddy current problems

Abstract

Effectiveness of the A-φ method is considered. Convergence of Bi-Conjugate Gradient method (BiCG) is faster with the electric scalar potential than without it. Also, convergence of BiCG changes according to boundary conditions of the potential. The TEAM model and a transformer model are considered as numerical examples.
