Abstract

Imogolites were prepared with Ge/(Ge + Si) ratios of 0, 0.2, 0.5 and 1.0; the products are illustrated with electron micrographs. Products were similar to natural imogolites in their tubular morphology, electron diffraction patterns and DTA curves. Changes in tube dimensions and in IR absorption bands are discussed. -D.F.B.
