Effects of tensor interactions and projectile excitations in the scattering of 7Li

Abstract

The scattering of 7Li by nuclei is investigated by folding-model interactions, assuming 7Li to consist of an α-particle and a triton. For 58Ni targets, effects of tensor interactions which include excitations of 7Li are very important in explaining the measured cross sections and vector and tensor analyzing powers in elastic scattering, where normalizations of the interaction are not necessary.
