Electro-optic response of blue phases

Abstract

The relation between electro-optic response and chiral pitch was investigated in blue phases I and II, respectively in detail. The results also showed that the hysteresis for the transmittance according to the upward and downward of electric fields did not appear before the field-induced phase transition occurred.
