Abstract

Magnetic domains in ferromagnetic shape memory alloys and CMR manganites, in which phase transformations play an important role in the appearance of extraordinary phenomena, have been studied by electron holography and Lorentz microscopy. These methods are employed to identify the temperature dependence of magnetic domains, the effect of applying weak magnetic fields to the domain structure, the interaction between antiphase boundaries and magnetic domain walls, etc.
