Abstract
This is a first report on a photochrome transition of ZnSiO nanoparticles synthesized by a VHF plasma CVD method. It is confirmed that a photochrome transition occurs in the ZnSiO nanoparticles with UV irradiation at 300 K. The photochrome states are stable in the air for a few months. This indicates that electrons are excited to the stable trap states in ZnSiO formed as a result of a photo-induced structural change.
