Electrophoretic microrheology in a dilute lamellar phase of a nonionic surfactant

Abstract

The spectrum of the complex electrophoretic mobility of nanometer sized colloidal particles was studied. The particles were dispersed in a nonionic dilute lamellar phase and observed two relaxation corresponding to the characteristics length of lamellar structure. The new technique called electrophoretic microrheology enabled to measure the spectrum of electrophoretic mobility. Probe particles of smaller than character size structure were determined in complex fluid.
