Abstract
The electrophosphorescence in organic light emitting devices (OLED) was discussed. Very high efficiency electrophosphorescence in OLED employing a phosphorescent molecule doped into a wide energy gap host was demonstrated. It was shown that the mechanism of endothermic energy transfer from a conductive molecular organic host to an organometallic phosphor can result in highly efficient blue OLED.
