### Abstract

In this chapter we discuss enhanced bindings for the Pauli–Fierz Hamiltonian with dipole approximation and for the N-body Nelson Hamiltonian. It is shown that an interaction with a quantum field enhances binding and sufficiently strong couplings consequently produce the ground state. It is also shown that the Pauli–Fierz Hamiltonian with dipole approximation with sufficiently weak coupling constants has no ground state if it has no ground state whenever a coupling constant is zero.
