N2 - Electron spin resonance (ESR) characterization of TDAE-C60 and TDAE-C70 in solution, where TDAE is tetrakis(dimenthylamino)ethylene, was carried out to find the existence of TDAE+, C-60, C2-26 and C-70. These observations suggest that there is a disproportionation between C-60 and C2-60 in the solution apart from the solid phase. The ESR intensity of C2-60 is quite weak in the as-prepared solution and it grows with time. On the other hand, such disproportionation in TDAE-C70 was not observed in either the solution or in the solid.
