Estimate of Electron Thermal Transmission in Structurally Unstable Electrostatic Potentials

Abstract

The electron thermal transmission has been estimated for wavy electrostatic potentials which appears in structurally unstable electrostatic plasmas with Mach numbers less than unity. Wavy solutions of the potential are obtained by nonlinear analysis of the Bohm equation with the Sagdeev potential for the sheath problems.
