Evaluation of mechanical properties of stabilized zirconia and zirconate pyrochlore

Abstract

- Stabilized zirconia - • Both experimental and MD results showed that elastic moduli of stabilized zirconia decrease with Ce or Pu content. - Zirconate pyrochlore - • Experimental result showed that the elastic moduli increase with ionic radius of lanthanide. • The bulk modulus from ab initio and MD simulation showed that actinide doped pyrochlore and lanthanide doped pyrochlore have same tendency.
