Abstract

A method is presented to evaluate the temperature T and magnetic-field B dependences of the pinning potential U directly from the flux-creep resistivity experiments. Using this method, we analyse the previous experimental results in YBaCuO single crystals. It is shown that the temperature and magnetic-field dependences of the potential obtained with the present method are different from the previous model, i.e., U(T, B)∝(1 - T/Tc)3/2/B, where Tc is the critical temperature. It is also shown that the previous model can not explain these experimental results consistently.
