N2 - Structural, hyperfine and magnetic properties of Fe/Co3O 4 nanocomposites having 10, 30, 50 and 70 wt. % of Fe, prepared by a chemical route are studied. X-ray diffraction patterns indicate that materials have grain size in the nanoscale region. Mössbauer measurements suggest the presence of α-Fe phase in the samples. Presence of exchange bias was revealed by magnetization measurement. Irreversibility in temperature dependent magnetization measurement also points to interface effect.
